OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES
By submitting the application, Participant acknowledges and agrees:
September 12th:
All teams must launch & weigh-in at Fort Anahuac Park
The tournament is open to one (1) or two (2) angler teams.
All team members must fish together
Teams may fish any public waters legally open to fishing.
No fishing in private ponds, restricted waters, or areas requiring permission.
Rod & Reel only
All participants must comply with all applicable Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations and U.S. Coast Guard requirements.
Teams may weigh in their two (2) heaviest legal redfish.
Fish must fall within the current Texas slot limit of 20" to 28".
Official take of: 5:30A.M.
Lines must be out by 3P.M.
Teams must be in the official weigh-in line no later than 3:30 P.M.
Teams arriving after 3:30P.M will be disqualified
A 0.50-pound penalty will be assessed for each dead fish weighed.
Tournament officials reserve the right to inspect fish, boats, coolers, live wells, and equipment at any time.
Only artificial lures may be used during tournament hours. The use of live bait or any natural bait is prohibited.
Participants may not fish with or receive assistance from a professional or paid fishing guide during tournament hours.
In the event of a tie, the team weighing in first will be declared the winner.
Tournament officials reserve the right to modify schedules, weigh-in procedures, or tournament operations due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
Unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, rule violations, or violations of state or federal laws may result in immediate disqualification.
Tournament officials’ decisions are final.

TOURNAMENT PURSE AND COMMUNITY DISTRIBURTION
A community contribution of 30% of all Redfish Tournament entry fees will be retained by Marsh Master Roundup, Inc. to support the continued growth of the event. These funds will be reinvested into future festival operations, community initiatives, scholarships, and other charitable purposes in accordance with the organization’s mission.
The remaining 70% of each team’s entry fee ($210 per team based on a $300 entry) will be paid out to the top three finishing teams using the following payout structure:
• 1st Place: 50%
• 2nd Place: 30%
• 3rd Place: 20%
All optional side pots are paid back at 100% of the total side pot collected, with no portion retained by the festival.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that participation in a fishing tournament involves inherent risks, including but not limited to boating accidents, drowning, slips and falls, weather conditions, wildlife encounters, equipment failure, personal injury, property damage, and death.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the Redfish Roundup Tournament and related activities.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Redfish Roundup Tournament, I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Redfish Roundup, Marsh Master Classic, Chambers County, Fort Anahuac Park, event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses arising from participation in the tournament, except where prohibited by law.
INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Redfish Roundup, Marsh Master Classic, Chambers County, Fort Anahuac Park, event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from my participation in the tournament.
MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize emergency medical personnel to provide treatment deemed necessary. I understand that all medical expenses incurred are my sole responsibility.
PHOTO & MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission to the Redfish Roundup, Marsh Master Classic, sponsors, media partners, and their representatives to photograph, film, record, livestream, reproduce, publish, and use my name, likeness, voice, photographs, video footage, catch photos, and tournament results for promotional, advertising, marketing, social media, website, television, print, and other lawful purposes without compensation.
REFUND POLICY
All entry fees are non-refundable.
If tournament officials cancel the event due to severe weather, natural disaster, government action, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond their control, tournament officials may reschedule the event, transfer entries to a future event, or issue partial or full refunds at their sole discretion.
Tournament delays, shortened fishing hours, modified formats, or schedule adjustments do not constitute grounds for a refund.
